Ali vs. Fraiser. Nadal vs. Federer. Brady vs. Manning.
Three historic rivalries that caught the attention of all sports fans when they would clash.
While this may be the beginning of our football journey together, that does not mean there is not some history between us.
This season, when the clock is ticking and the playoff push is at its height, we will be clashing head to head with our league rivals.
Let’s explore all of our upcoming matchups for Rivalry Week in Week 14.
Jerry vs. Kathy
There came a time when Jerry used to don the bright red and yellow colors of the McBallers. When some would chant “he wit us”. Those days are now behind us.
In a shocking Kevin Durant-esque move (but not really), Jerry left the Big Macs behind for some Doritos Locos Tacos instead, joining the ranks of the rival Taco Tuesday.
Ever since, McBallers captain Kathy has sought it out that Jerry and the Tacos will never get the best of Ronald McDonald’s squad.
Now, the two former teammates get a chance to hash it out with their playoff hopes on the line in week 14.
Emily vs. Nicole
Once roommates on the bay, the two Le Mergers have now gone their separate ways. From couch neighbors to fantasy football foes.
Come rivalry week, get ready to witness some bad blood between them, as one will be out of the woods and into the playoffs, and the other will be having their tears ricochet off their Sleeper app.
Alexa vs. Vince
While they may see eye-to-eye with their love of Josh Allen, this is matchup can be declared the battle of the 💩 emojis. The victor of the final matchup of the season will surely be getting some of those added by the defeated.
Tucker vs. Ziv
When a bowling league came to town, the two rivals both put their GM caps on and got to work constructing teams to compete in the high stakes bowling of Lucky Strike. Anytime the two captains’ teams would meet, a competitive fire (and sometimes excessive rage) would present itself. Defeating Tucker’s team in the championship round, Ziv’s Alley Oops raised the championship trophy. The following season, the Homies would come back for vengence, defeating the Alley Oops in the playoffs.
When bowling is not in session, the New York – Miami sports rivalry is brought to life when these two represent their respective teams. While the Jets can’t even sniff the playoffs, let’s hope that Tucker’s fantasy squad is in form come rivalry week when they face Ziv’s team.
Kiki vs. Laura
Two friends are bound to clash in a heated matchup in which one will be elected the better fantasy manager, while the other will be asking to stop the count of fantasy points.
Sammy vs. Lopez
While the league is still young, we have already laid witness to some bitter negotiations between these two leaguemates. Refusing to engage in draft-day transactions, Chris caught the ire of Sammy as he called him out by name, forming a new rivalry for all to indulge in.
Daniel vs. Daris
This matchup is what I like to call the Nicest Guy in the League Bowl. While I have been given such title in the past, these two fantasy managers are most definitely more deserving of it than I am. Winner of this matchup gets to claim the title, until it is put back up for grabs the following season.
