With a new season on the horizon, we have some new rivalries that come with it.
Last season, rivalry week meant the admission of some rivals to the dance, while the others wept in defeat.
At the regular season’s finale, when the clock is ticking and the playoff push is at its height, we will be clashing head to head with our league rivals.
Let’s explore all of our upcoming matchups for Rivalry Week in Week 14.
Rivers vs. Ziv
After all this time watching the Cats conquer the Lightning year after year, I finally have the amazing opportunity of mirroring this trend by contributing to the fantasy football downfall of my newly minted rival. While Rivers may have the edge on me when it comes to FIFA, fantasy football is a different beast. I am looking forward to capitalizing on this opportunity and defeat my foe come the final week.
Alexa vs. Kathy
After a successful year co-managing “Alexa’s Amazing Team”, John Dovel IV (codename: Quatro) has taken his talents from South Beach to Edgewater and has joined Kathy’s South Georgia Catfish (I still don’t understand the reference lol). As such, Alexa will be looking to show Kathy and Quatro that she can handle business on her own. I can envision a win-and-in scenario between these foes come December.
Daris vs. Tucker
While Tucker can pester me with his love for the abysmal New York sports teams, it is undeniable that he is at the upper echelon of kindness. A new rivalry with a similar theme of “mensch of the censch”, Tucker will look to take the throne of our reigning league champion, while Daris will look to bring Tucker defeat and show that he is not no “Mr. Nice Guy”.
Jerry vs. Vince
On the flip side of the previous rivalry, we have two foes who aren’t about the funny business. Both look to gain the path to victory by any means necessary with a thick-skinned demeanor to reach such goals. Vince’s “I’m walkin hereeee” mindset vs. Jerry’s “Dey Wit Us” perspective will be a sight to behold.
Sammy vs. Lopez
Following some draft-day drama in 2025, these two foes went head to head as rivals in Week 14, with Lopez coming out on top as the victor of the inaugural rivalry matchup. While this was more of a consolation prize for Lopez as he had been eliminated from playoff contention prior, there is a good chance that the matchup will have some wild playoff implications this year.
Emily vs. Nicole
In 2025, this vintage classic rivalry matchup was decided by 0.92 fantasy points (!!!) with the spoils going to Nicole the victor by method of a win-and-in sixth seed playoff spot, causing Emily to miss the playoffs entirely. This year, Emily will be looking for sweet, sweet vengence come Week 14. There’s bad blood, and somebody’s leaving with an L.
Kiki vs. Laura
Last year, this matchup determined who will be the unofficial league loser with the worst record, as both Kiki and Laura came in looking to avoid such title. Laura came out victorious, and this year Kiki will be coming for revenge. Hopefully we can see some fireworks again this year come playoff eve in Week 14.
